The 'Center of Dreams'

The 'Center of Dreams'

In mid‑2025, Bangkok saw the launch of its first inner‑city homeless shelter, the Center of Dreams, made possible through a 16.5 million baht grant from the Citi Foundation. Thaiger+1
Situated in the Khlong Toei district, this center is more than just a temporary refuge — it is a hub for transformation and reintegration for people experiencing homelessness.

At the heart of the Center of Dreams is a belief that no one should remain invisible. Our aim is to help homeless individuals regain dignity, stability, and independence. Over a structured 90‑day program, residents undergo personalized support, including:

  • Accommodation, meals, clothing, and hygiene facilities Thaiger+2sdperspectives.com+2

  • Vocational and social skills training (self‑awareness, career coaching, job application support)sdperspectives.com+2Thaiger+2

  • Health screenings and emotional/psychological support

  • Assistance with transportation, returning to hometowns (if desired), and job placement or referral to partner shelters Thaiger+1

In its first months, the center has already supported 21 individuals, helping them begin the journey toward stability. sdperspectives.com+1

As we grow, our goal is to help at least 150 individuals fully reintegrate into society by the end of 2026. sdperspectives.com
We envision expanded services including mental health consultations, broader vocational partnerships, and reinforcement programs to prevent future homelessness.

Problem

Despite efforts to expand education, many barriers persist. Schools often operate without adequate resources, well-trained staff, or infrastructure. Additionally, digital divides and inconsistent policies widen the educational gap, leaving millions behind.

Solution

We support sustainable, long-term educational initiatives that address the core challenges facing learners and institutions. Our approach emphasizes resource access, infrastructure development, and teacher support:

01. Providing Learning Materials

Distributing books, devices, and learning tools to underserved areas.

02. Building and Upgrading Schools

Creating safe, inclusive, and well-equipped educational spaces.

03. Training and Supporting Educators

Empowering teachers with training programs, mentorship, and teaching tools.

04. Scholarships & Access Programs

Ensuring financial or systemic barriers don't block access to learning.
