Food Program: Helping the elderly, bedridden and people in the lower-income communities.

In the heart of Bangkok, thousands of people living in lower-income communities face challenges that often go unseen. For many elderly residents, people living with disabilities, and those who are bedridden or suffering from illness, something as simple as preparing a meal or leaving their home to buy food can be a daily struggle.

At Bangkok Community Help Foundation, we believe that everyone deserves access to a nutritious meal, regardless of their circumstances.

That's why we operate our Community Food Program 365 days a year, preparing and delivering freshly cooked meals to people who need them most in the Khlong Toei communities.

But our work is about much more than providing food. It's about showing people that they are not forgotten, building connections between different parts of society, and creating a stronger, more caring Bangkok.

What Will You Be Doing?

We welcome individuals, families, students, and groups to join our daily activities at the Center of Dreams, our headquarters and homeless shelter in Khlong Toei.

During the afternoon, you'll work alongside our team and Community Helpers to:

  • Prepare meals: Help cook fresh, nutritious food in our community kitchen.

  • Pack meals: Prepare individual portions for distribution to residents in need.

  • Distribute food: Visit the surrounding lower-income communities and deliver meals directly to elderly, bedridden, and vulnerable residents.

  • Experience the community: Discover a side of Bangkok that many people never see, meet local residents, and gain a better understanding of the challenges they face.

No previous experience is necessary! Our team and Community Helpers will welcome you, explain the activities, and guide you throughout the afternoon.

When and Where?

Days: Monday to Saturday

Arrival: 3:30 PM

Activities: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Location: Center of Dreams, Khlong Toei, Bangkok

Find us on Google Maps by searching for Center of Dreams.

We recommend arriving at 3:30 PM so you have enough time to meet our team, receive a short introduction, and get ready for the afternoon's activities.

Is There a Cost to Participate?

No. Participation in our Community Food Program is completely free.

However, preparing and distributing hundreds of meals every day requires ongoing financial support.

Each meal costs approximately 40 THB, covering the ingredients and preparation needed to provide food to someone in need.

If you enjoy your experience and would like to help us continue this work, we warmly encourage you to consider supporting a few meals or becoming a regular Community Supporter.

For as little as 500 THB per month, you can become a Community Supporter and help us keep our food program and other essential community initiatives running throughout the year.

You can also contribute directly through the donation box in our community kitchen.
